The B!POD DRO!D is one of the most advanced food-vacuum systems available to consumers. With the addition of Kabuto, it can now also preserve fine wines. For this set, we developed a high end packaging solution that matches the quality of the product.
From the start it was clear that the packaging for Kabuto had to reflect B!pod’s values: high quality, environmentally conscious and on brand. The packaging was therefore developed as a fully fibre based solution.
To achieve this, we set up a dedicated European supply chain combining rigid box manufacturing, wet press pulp production, folding board production and documentation printing. All components are produced locally in Europe.

By applying smart design principles, we reduced the number of SKUs and increased part quantities. This helped bring production costs to acceptable levels.
The same approach was used for the through and through black pulp tray. Each cavity can hold three different items, using the flexibility of paper and carefully designed friction fits to keep every component securely in place.
